DM/ MCh program in Nepal was started by Kathmandu University in 1999 in Bir Hospital. After establishment of National Academy of Medical Sciences, DM/MCh program was taken over by NAMS in 2004 starting with MCh programs. NEET-PG is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination for admission to various MD/MS and PG Diploma Courses as per Section 61(2) of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019 read with 10 (D) of Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.No other entrance examination, either at the state or the Institution level, shall be valid for entry to MD/MS/PG Diploma courses.
National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET 2024) will be organised by National Board Of Examination (NBE). NEET 2023 is the national level entrance exam will be conducted on 3rd May 2024.
