Purbanchal University: A name of Trust

Purbanchal University is a public university in Nepal that offers medical courses in Nepal. It was founded in 1993 by the Government of Nepal and is located in Gothagaun Sundar Haraicha, Biratnagar, Nepal. The university has a total of 123 associate institutions and is distributed over five sites.

The chancellor of this public university is Nepal’s Prime Minister, while the pro-chancellor is Nepal’s Minister of Education. The Vice Chancellor of Purbanchal University is the Principal Administrator.

The semester system is used at Purbanchal University. The bachelor’s degree takes four years to complete, while the master’s degree takes two years and M.Phil programmes take a year and a half. All degrees are based on studies conducted in an English-medium interface.
