Kathmandu University has developed a Master of Science in Nursing programme in Nepal, which is guided by its mission of generating technically competent, socially responsible, and internationally acknowledged health workforce. The Master of Science in Nursing programme at Kathmandu University is designed for nursing graduates with a Bachelor of Science degree who want to expand their knowledge and understanding in order to work effectively as nurse educators, nurse managers, and nurse researchers in adult health, as well as assume advanced practise and leadership roles. This PG Nursing in Nepal program is based on the Curriculum of Kathmandu University and strictly adheres to it.
International colleges will recognise this two-year curriculum as an equal study, broadening their options for professional progression. Successful candidates will be able to choose from a variety of specialties, including medical-surgical, child health, and community medicine, among others.
Eligibility MSc Nursing Program under Kathmandu University
- BN/ BNS / B.Sc. Nursing /B.Sc. Midwifery(B. Mid is eligible only for the M.Sc. Midwifery program)
- Registered in Nepal Nursing Council
- One year experience
- Candidates should score a minimum of 50% (Pass Marks) in the Entrance Examinations conducted by Medical Education Commission for being eligible to be on the merit list.

ADMISSION CRITERIA
Candidates will be chosen based on their performance in the admission examination, which will be followed by counselling.
The School of Medical Sciences will choose candidates based on their merit.
Candidates who have already registered for one postgraduate programme will not be permitted to switch to another. To change subjects, he or she must retake the entrance examination.
