How to get admission to Kathmandu Medical College?

The admission process of KMC is based on the marks scored in the entrance examination conducted by the college. The entrance examination is held every year in the month of August. The candidates who have passed the 10+2 examination with science subjects are eligible to appear for the entrance examination.

The candidates who have secured minimum 50% marks in the entrance examination are eligible for admission to the MBBS course. The admission to the college is done on the basis of merit. The candidates who have qualified in the entrance examination are required to submit the application form along with the required documents to the college.

The candidates who are seeking admission to KMC must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission. The candidates who have completed 10+2 examination with science subjects from any recognized board are eligible to apply for the entrance examination.

What is the fees structure of Kathmandu Medical College (KMC)?

The fees for the MBBS course at KMC is NPR 8,00,000 (US$ 8,000) per year. The total fees for the five-year course is therefore NPR 40,00,000 (US$ 40,000).

The fees for the BSc in Nursing course is NPR 2,00,000 (US$ 2,000) per year. The total fees for the three-year course is therefore NPR 6,00,000 (US$ 6,000).

The fees for the Diploma in General Nursing course is NPR 1,00,000 (US$ 1,000) per year. The total fees for the two-year course is therefore NPR 2,00,000 (US$ 2,000).
