The Universal College of Medical Sciences, often known as the Universal Medical College, was founded in 1998. It is a well-known medical college that is considered as a pioneer in Nepal’s field of medical and dental education.

Admission Process of Universal College of Medical Sciences in 2023-

According on merit performance, management quota, and foreign quota, the college enrolls students.

• Candidates must have completed their high school education in accordance with the 10 + 2 pattern from a reputable educational board, or have an equivalent certification that is recognised by universities.
• Biology, physics, and chemistry must be studied as the three main subjects.
• A minimum cumulative score of 50% is required to apply.
• For applicants, the university holds an entrance exam. A 50% minimum score is required to qualify.
• Students may apply for admission in the direct quota if they received 50% or higher in all of their disciplines.

Students may apply for admission under the Management Quota even if they missed the deadline for submitting their applications or did not receive the required minimum marks.

Indian students can apply for admission under the NRI Quota for overseas students.

Fee Structure of Universal College of Medical Sciences in 2023–

MD, MS, and MDS degrees from an accredited institution are required. The applicant must have finished a year-long internship at a recognised medical college.

Cost: 7–13 lakh

Candidates for the MBBS program must have completed the 10+2 or intermediate with a minimum of 50% overall marks in science (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) from an accredited institution.

Cost: 40 to 60 lakh

BDS: The applicant must have completed 10+2 or an equivalent course in science (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) and English from a recognised school with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 50%.

15 to 35 lakh fees

B.Sc. Nursing: The applicant must have completed 10+2 or an equivalent programme in science (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) with English and 50% overall at a recognised institution.

Women only are eligible to apply.

The candidate for Bachelor of Nursing (BN) must have received a competency certificate in nursing from an accredited college with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 50%. Additionally, the applicant needs to have two years of nursing experience.

12- to 18-lakh fees

BMIT: The applicant must have completed 10+2 or an equivalent programme in science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 50% from a recognised institution. (Apart from the BN course)

12- to 13-lakh fees

BMLT: The applicant must have completed 10+2 or an equivalent programme in science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 50% from a recognised institution. (Apart from the BN course)

12- to 15-lakh fees

B. Pharmacist: The applicant must have completed 10+2 or an equivalent programme in science (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) with English and 50% overall at a recognised institution.

12- to 18-lakh fees

BPH: The applicant must have completed 10+2 or an equivalent course in science (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) and English from a recognised school with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 50%. (Apart from the BN programme)
