Azim Premji University – Regular Admission Cycle for 2022 Session Ongoing

Regular (March -May) Admission Cycle for admissions to Azim Premji University has started. Azim Premji University is a private university located In Bengaluru. This university has 5 schools and centers: School of Education, School of Development, School of Policy & Governance, School or Liberal Studies, School of Continuing Education & Univ Resource Centre.

Admissions are via an Entrance test followed by an interview.

• Last date to apply for the regular admission cycle is end of April 2022.

• The entrance exam for the regular admission cycle will be conducted in the month of May 2022 (exact date will be announced later).

Maharashtra CET 2022 for BTech, Biotech, Agri and Related Courses

The Commissioner of State CET Cell, Maharashtra, is accepting registrations for Its Online Entrance Test for admission in various professional technical UG courses.

Key dates for MHT-CET

• Last date of online registration and confirmation with normal fee: 31 Mar 2022

•   Last date of online registration and confirmation with late fee: 7Apr 2022

•   Date of exam: Yet to be announced

Application Date Extended, CUSAT CAT Clashes with UPES EAT

Cochin University of Science & Technology (erstwhile University of Cochin), a State University, has extended the last date, upto 31 March 2022, for online applications for Its Common Admission Test for 2022 for admission In Its Undergraduate and Integrated UG -PG programs.

• 5 Year lntegrated MSc (Statistics/ Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics): Admission Test CUSAT·CAT on 15 to 17 May 2022.

• 5 Year Integrated BBA-LLB and BCom-LLB: Admission Test CUSAT-CAT-Law on 15 to 17May 2022.

Application deadline

• 25 March 2022 (with regular fee) (earlier date was 7 March 2022)

• 31 March 2022 (with late fee) (earlier date was 14 March 2022)

Exams clashing with CUSAT-CAT: Please note that CUSAT Admission Test has date overlap/clash with UPES-EAT. UPES-EAT Is scheduled to be conducted from 13 to 15 May 2022.

VITEEE Clashes IIT BSc Data Science Entrance, Application Date Extended

The Vellore Institute of Technology, a Deemed University, has been accepting applications for the B.Tech / BDesign / BArch programs and has now extended the application deadline by 1 month. The admissions shall be based on its entrance exam VITEEE, which has been scheduled to be conducted starting last week of May.

Key dates

• Last date to apply: 30 Apr 2022 (extended from 31 March 2022)

• Date of entrance exam: 30 May to 7 June 2022

Entrance exams clashing with VITEEE : Please note that VITEEE dates clash /overlap the admission test dates of IIT Madras BSc Data Science (5 Jun 2022), IIAT (5 Jun 2022) and NMIMS Jyoti Dalal School of Liberal Arts Liberal Studies (1 Apr to 5 Jun). Hence caution needs to be exercised while selecting the exam date/slot.

IIT-Madras Starts HSEE-2022 Applications

The lndian lnstitute of Technology Madras (I IT-Madras) has started applications for admissions to its unique 5-Year Integrated M .A. for students after Class 12. This program is offered by the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) at IIT-M.

• Students from any stream can apply for this program.

• The admission to the program is via an entrance exam – the Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Exam 2022, also known as HSEE-2022.

• Part-I of HSEE-2022 consists of questions that will test the candidate’s English comprehension, Analytical Ability, and General Awareness. These questions will need to be answered in an online mode from designated test centers. There is also a Part-II that will require the candidate to write a 300-word essay on a given topic. This can be typed on the computer or can be written using pen and paper mode and submitted.

Key Dates for HSEE-2022:

– Application Deadline: 27 April 2022 (for those who pay appl fee online)

– Application Deadline: 28 April 2022 (for those who pay appl fee via Bank Challan)

– Date of Exam: 12th June, 2022

UGEE-2022 for Admissions to IIIT-Hyderabad Starts

The International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT-H), a Deemed University founded in 1998, has started the 2022 Application process for admissions to its 5-Year Integrated B.Tech + MS programs. The admissions to the unique 5-Year Integrated programs are through the UGEE-2022 (Under Graduate Entrance Exam).

Key Dates for UGEE-2022:

•      Last Date to Apply: 15-05-2022

•      Date of Exam: 04-06-2022

NATA- 2022 Dates Released, To Be Conducted Thrice

The Council of Architecture has notified that NATA-2022 shall be conducted 3 times, once in June and twice in July. In view of the situation arising out of COVID-19 Pandemic and consequent directives of the Government of India, the Council of Architecture had introduced many changes last year for admissions in B.Arch programme, which, most likely, may not hold valid this year.

Details would be known once the information brochure Is released.

NATA test dates –

•      First test: 12 June 2022

•      Second test: 3 July 2022

•       Third test: 24 July 2022

Information brochure is expected to be released soon and shall be available on NATA as well as COA website

Relaxed eligibility

In normal course of things, it is required that the candidate scores minimum 50% marks in 10+2 in science (PCM) stream for admission in B.Arch course and also clears NATA (or JEE Mains Paper 2 in case of CFTIs). But this condition of 50% marks was waived off in 2021 and also in 2020

CLAT 2022 Rescheduled – Application Deadline Extended

The Consortium of National Law Universities has issued a notification to the effect that the CLAT-2022has been rescheduled.

Rescheduled dates are as follows:

• Application Deadline: 9th May, 2022

• Date of Exam: 19th June, 2022

The test shall be conducted across multiple cities in India. CLAT is a 2-hour test, with 150 multiple-choice questions carrying 1 mark each. There shall be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.

CET 2022 By BOPEE J&K, Clashes KVPY & CMI Test

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE), established by an Act of the State Legislature, is entrusted with the task of conducting entrance  tests and  recommending candidates for admission to various professional courses in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir. These, interalia, include BE/BTech (Engineering Courses) . The Common Entrance Test (JAKBOPEE-CET) will be conducted for the purpose of determining merit of the students for admission the undergraduate Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) Courses in the Government run and privately managed institutions of J&K.

Key dates for JAKBOPEE-CET

•     Last date to apply online: 7 April 2021

•     Date of exam: 22 May 2022

Entrance exams clashing with JAKBOPEE-CET: Please note that two other entrance exams are scheduled to be conducted on the same date (22 May 2022) – one for admission in the prestigious Chennai Mathematical lnstitute (CMI-Maths-BSc) and the other being the premium KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana). Unless the date is changed, students will have to forego any 2 of these opportunities.

NLU Delhi Reschedules AILET-2022

The National Law University, Delhi has rescheduled the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET- 2022) required for admission to the five-year integrated B.A.LL.B (Hons) program.

• Application Deadline: 25-May-22

• Date of Exam: 26-June-22

Candidates, please note the following main changes in AILET-2022 (s compared to AILET-2021).

Change#1: Test Pattern

While the total questions remain the same as last year (150 Qns), the following two sections have been removed – Legal Aptitude & Elementary Mathematics.

So, now the new pattern will only have 3 sections but with more questions in each:  English (50 Qns), Current Affairs & GJK (30 Qns), and Logical Reasoning (70 Qns). Each question will carry one mark with 25% negative marking for incorrect answers.

Change #2: Testing Mode

Due to the pandemic last year, the test was conducted online in remote proctored mode, this year for AILET-2022, the entrance test will be held across multiple centers in different cities.

Change #3: Test conducting body

The National Testing Agency was responsible for conducting AILET-2021.

However, this year, AILET-2022 will be conducted by the National Law University Delhi.

Symbiosis SITEEE 2022 on 14 May, Applications Ongoing

Symbiosis Institute of Technology (Pune & Nagpur), Symbiosis lnternational (Deemed University), Pune is accepting online applications for 2022 BTech programs, the admission to which shall be through SIT Engineering Entrance Exam SITEEE.

Application dates

•      Application window: Closes on 8th June 2022

•       Date of conduct of SITEEE: 26th June 2022

BITSAT 2022 Pattern Changed, Test in 2 Sessions

Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani has started the registration process for admission in its various Undergraduate programmes  (BTech, BPharm, Integrated MSc) offered across all campuses  (Pilani campus, Goa campus, and Hyderabad Campus) through its All India Admission Test BITSAT . This year (2022), the University has also announced two key changes in the admission test.

Change 1: Test to be conducted in 2 sessions in June & July

•This year, BITSAT will be conducted In 2 sessions. Session I will be held in June while Session II will be held In July.

• Students may opt for either Session I only or both sessions.

• In order to appear in Session II, it is mandatory to have appeared in Session I.

• Best of the scores obtained in Session I/ Session Il will be used to decide the rank.

Change 2: Reduced number of questions

Instead of 150 questions as was the pattern earlier, this year the admission test will have 130 questions. There is no change in the number of extra questions. If a candidate answers all the 130 questions (without skipping any question), the candidate will have an option of attempting 12 (twelve) extra questions, if there is still time left. These extra questions will be from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology and Logical reasoning only; three questions from each part.

COMEDK & Uni-GAUCE-E Applications Started

COMEDK (Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka), in association with ERA Foundation, has started accepting online applications for 2022 admissions in BE/ B.Tech / B.Arch courses through it common online entrance exam.

Participating institutes: Approx. 190 engineering colleges (accepting COMEDK) and approx. 28 accepting Uni-GAUGE-E. Exact list of institutes participating in 2022 shall be available soon.

• Last date to apply online: 2 May 2022

• Date of exam: 19 June 2022

JEE Mains Session 1 Rescheduled, Now Clashes 4 Other Engineering Entrance Tests

Owing to JEE (Mains) 2022 Session 1 dates clashing with some Board examinations, National Testing Agency (NTA) had released new dates for the same. Earlier planned to be conducted from 16 to 21 April, it will now be held on 6 days between 21 Apr and 4 May. With this rescheduling, JEE (Mains) Session 1dates now clash/overlap at least 4 other entrance exams.

This year, the JEE (Mains) will be conducted in 2 Sessions, the second session being in the last week of May.

Revised dates

• Last date to apply for Session: 31 March 2022 (No change)

• Entrance exam Session 1: 21, 24, 25, 29 Apr and 1, 4 May (earlier dates were 16 to 21 April 2022)

• Applications for Session 2: 8 April to 3 May 2022 (no change)

• Entrance exam Session 2: 24 to 29 May 2022 (no change)

Entrance exams clashing with JEE (Mains) Session 1: It may please be noted that the Session 1 dates of JEE (Mains) clash /overlap the entrance exam dates of SRMJEE , Tripura TJEE­ Eng, West Bengal WBJEE and HITSEEE. Besides these engineering entrance exams, it also has clash/overlap issue with AILET, NIRMA B Design entrance and UPES-DAT.
