About Karnali Academy of Health Sciences

Karnali Academy of Health Sciences was established in 2011 by an act of Parliament of Nepal by upgrading existing Karnali Zonal Hospital at Jumla. Students choose Karnali Academy of Health Sciences (KAHS) for MBBS courses in Nepal as KAHS shares its services making access for people not only around the world towards its medical and healthcare services but also mainly people of backward status and rural areas.

Eligibility criteria for admission in Karnali Academy of Health Sciences:

Students must qualify through the eligibility criteria required to be enrolled in Karnali Academy of Health Sciences for MBBS. Let us look at the eligibility criteria:

• Students must have reached the age of 17 by 31^st july of the same year by the time of admission.
• Students must have passed their higher secondary from an English medium school.
• Students must have Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) subjects in their 10+2 examination.
• Students must have scored above 50% marks in their PCB subjects in their 10+2 examination.
• Students who scored above 50% marks in all the subjects in their 10+2 examination including P.C.B are eligible for direct admission only to face an interview.
• Students securing above 50% marks in their Physics,Chemistry and Biology but marks below 50% in other subjects must appear through common entrance exams.
• Students must pass their NEET Entrance Examination with or more than 117 marks. Applicants failing to attain 117 in their NEET examination must qualify through other common entrance examinations such as Medical Education Common Entrance Exam-Bachelor Level (MECEE-BL) and Medical Education Common Entrance Exam-Under Graduate (MECEE-UG).

Applicants must qualify through the NEET Entrance Examination for admission in KAHS.

NEET Entrance Examination marks required for admission in Karnali Academy of Health Sciences:

• Students who fail to score 117 or above in their NEET entrance examination must qualify compulsory examination for admission.
• Students who pass their NEET entrance examination with more than 117 marks are eligible for direct admission. No Exam/Form compulsory.

Admission process for MBBS Course in Karnali  Academy of Health Sciences:

More than 100 students are enrolled and enlisted for MBBS course in Karnali Academy of Health Sciences annually.
