The number of seats is limited and depending on Nepal’s Medical Education Commission’s guidelines. These cannot be flexible in character, and the reserved quotas cannot be jeopardized. IN NEPAL 2021, THE MBBS AND BDS CURRICULUM

Every academic year, the MBBS programme in Nepal begins in August or September. The MBBS programme is broken into three phases:
The first phase lasts two years and includes coursework in community medicine as well as basic medicine courses such as anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pathology, pharmacology, and microbiology.
The second phase is a one-year programme in which students will study forensic medicine, general medicine, and surgery, as well as gynaecology and obstetrics and paediatrics.
The third phase lasts 12 years and consists of research in ENT, Orthopaedics, Dentistry, Psychiatry, Dermatology, Radiology, Anaesthesia, and Emergency Medicine.
Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS):
This is a 4½ year course with one year of compulsory internship after the final examinations.
The first two years are allotted to the teaching of basic Medical Sciences and Dental science subjects and the remaining two years are allotted to Part II: Dental Clinical Sciences subjects including community Dentistry/Medical Clinical Sciences Subjects. In case a student fails to secure a pass mark in Part I, he/she/they will not be promoted to Part II.
How to prepare yourself for counselling 2021: MBBS/BDS IN NEPAL
Required preparation and documents for medical counselling in Nepal 2021:
The candidates must have their:
- Xth standard mark sheet
- Xth standard admit card
- XIIth standard mark sheet
- Passport size pictures
- In the case of worldwide candidates, mark sheet/score card of UG entrance exam (KUSMS/KUMET/TU-IOM or any other medical entrance exam of their country)
- Students from other countries must also bring their passports and other required migration documents, which will be checked by the Nepalese Embassy in these countries as well as the Nepalese government.
- The counselling method also requires a health certificate and an HIV test report.
If the desired seat coincides with the seat the candidate has been allotted after the counselling procedure, or during the procedure, in whichever round the student is called upon, he/she/they must freeze their seats in the respective medical colleges in Nepal which they have been allotted during counselling. To ensure admission, candidates must pay the requisite registration fee to the medical colleges in Nepal. The preparation of the candidates:

Procedure of Counselling: MBBS/BDS IN NEPAL 2021.
Students who have taken tests such as the KUMET (Kathmandu University Medical Entrance Test), KUSMS-ET (Kathmandu University School Medical Sciences Entrance Test), and TU-IOMET (Tribhuvan University Institute of Medicine Entrance Test) must now proceed to the counselling phase.
Only candidates who got qualifying grades in the entrance tests will be able to proceed to the counselling process.
Medical colleges in Nepal will now announce their respective MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery)/BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) cutoffs in Nepal. Students would visit the websites of various medical universities in Nepal to confirm their admission to their desired courses once the respective ranks/merit scores of selected applicants are released within certain ranges.Keep in mind that resident Nepali students are required to take the KUMET/KUSMS/TU-IOM exam, which is used to determine merit for admission to these Nepali medical colleges in Nepal. What is the definition of counselling?
Counselling is the process of selection for undergraduate medical education in Nepal following the merit entrance tests.
The process of ensuring that a student is admitted based on their merit list rating is known as counselling. The medical colleges in Nepal will declare the cutoffs for various entrance exams. Students who fulfil the cutoff criteria or who fall within the range of ranks released for admission are invited to attend a counselling session.
