About COMS Nepal

The College of Medical Sciences is a medical school in the Nepalese town of Bharatpur, Chitwan. Every year, roughly 100 students are admitted to the MBBS programme. In 1993, the International Society for Medical Education Pvt. Ltd. and the Ministry of Education of the Government of Nepal inked an agreement to build the International Institute of Medical Science in Bharatpur, which was renamed the College of Medical Sciences in 1995. It is a private institute that is associated with Kathmandu University in Nepal and is completely accredited by the Nepal Medical Council.

The institute, which is located in the heart of Nepal, features cutting-edge infrastructure, world-class facilities, and knowledgeable and experienced teachers. Twenty percent of the students enrolled are Nepal government nominees. The remaining pupils are self-supporting. Students attend the college from all throughout Nepal, India, and the SAARC region. A library with about 20,000 volumes and over 17000 medical articles is available at the college. Aside from academics, the college prioritizes its students’ health and fitness by offering leisure activities such as yoga and gymnasium, as well as indoor and outdoor sports for all-round growth.

Eligibility Criteria

Completion of 10+2 years of schooling or equivalent with a minimum of 50% aggregate and not less than 50% in each of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB).

OR

Completed a Bachelor of Science Degree, recognised by the University, with one of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and at least one other prescribed science subject of study up to the ancillary level, with a minimum overall aggregate of 50% marks, provided that such candidate passed the previous qualifying examination (10+2 or an equivalent examination) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

OR

Completed a course equivalent to I. Sc. (Biological Group) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as main subjects following a Certificate Level in Health Sciences from Dhulikhel Medical Institute, Kathmandu University, with a minimum of 50% in aggregate and not less than 50% in each of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB).

MECEE UG 2023 Application Procedure

Filling up application forms is done online. Registration is expected to begin in December 2022 and end in February 2023 at 5:00 PM. The application process consists of several steps. Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements may apply to more than one programme. They must, however, make separate bank payments for each application. Foreign candidates applying for MECEE BL 2023 must select one of the choices listed below.

  • Foreign to appear MECEE BL 2023.
  • Foreign not to appear MECEE BL 2023 who have passed the national level entrance examination of their respective countries.

Fill up the necessary information and pay the application cost. There is an option to amend the provision before submitting it.

Documents Required for Application

The candidates applying for MECEE are required to possess the following documents : 

  • Passport and Adhar Card
  • Recently Clicked Passport size photograph.
  • 10+2 transcript education certificate or equivalent certificate.
  • Respective Council Registration Certificate.
  • Last Six Digit Transaction Reference Number.
  • Applicant’s Mobile Number.
