The BIR Hospital, which is located in Mangsir, was originally known as the National Academy of Medical Sciences. It is Nepal’s first private medical university to start a programme of teaching medical courses to undergraduate students in Nepal. It was founded by the Nepalese government and is linked with CTEVT. Eligibility for admission into:

Master of Nursing (MNS): The willing candidate must have earned a bachelor’s degree in health science or a similar course programme from a recognised college or university with a minimum of 50%. After completing a bachelor’s degree programme, two years of teaching or clinical experience is necessary for the MN/MPH programme. The cost of the course is approximately 10-13 lac INR.

Bachelor of Medical Science (BMS): Must have finished a 10+2 or equivalent degree programme in English, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry from a recognised institution with a minimum of 50% in each subject. The course fee for this programme ranges between 12 and 18 lac INR.

MD/MS/MDS: An MBBS/BDS degree from a recognised institution is required, as is a one-year mandatory internship with the Medical Council of Nepal. The cost of this programme is between 7 and 13 lac INR.

MN/MPH: An MBBS/BDS degree from a recognised institution is required, as is a one-year mandatory internship with the Medical Council of Nepal. A minimum of two years of teaching or clinical experience is required. This programme costs between 10 and 13 lac INR.

DM: The candidate must have earned his or her MD from a recognised medical school. Such a degree must be approved by Nepal’s Medical Council. This programme has a course price of about 20 lac INR.

MCH: The candidate must hold a master’s degree from a reputable medical school. Such a degree must be approved by Nepal’s Medical Council. This programme has a course price of roughly 20-40 lac INR.

M.Sc. MLT: Candidate must have completed a bachelor of health sciences or any similar course at a recognised university authorised by the Medical Council of Nepal with a minimum of 50% aggregate.

B.Sc. MIT: Must have finished a 10+2 or equivalent degree programme (Intermediate Science) in English, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry from a recognised institution with a minimum of 50% aggregate and in each subject. This programme has a course price of 12-13 lac INR.

BPH: Must have finished a 10+2 or similar degree programme in English, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry from a recognised institution with a minimum of 50% in each subject. This programme has a course price of 12-15 lac INR.

Bachelor of Nursing Sciences: Applicants must take the Institute of Medicine, Kathmandu University School of Medical Sciences’ entrance exam and be put on the merit list. They must have a PCL nursing certificate and two years of teaching and/or clinical experience. This program’s course price is approximately 12-13 lac INR.
