The acronym is MECEE stands for Medical Education Commission Entrance Examination (MEC Nepal). The MECEE, a national level medical admission test in Nepal, is administered by the Nepal Medical Education Board. Thousands of students from all over the world have the opportunity to study medicine in Nepal thanks to MECEE. It is a wise investment because the cost of a medical course in Nepal is lower than in other European and South Asian countries. The Government of Nepal’s Medical Education Board administers exams for a number of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Nepal. The MCI has accredited 14 medical colleges in Nepal (Medical Council of India).

MECEE UG Eligibility Criteria:

A applicant must achieve particular qualifying conditions in order to take the MECEE UG test and get admission to a medical college in Nepal.

An applicant must have completed a recognised board or university’s 10+2 (Secondary School) education.

A candidate with a science background must score 50% on the Senior Secondary examinations. There is a 5% reduction in marks for the society’s reserved category.

A candidate must be registered with the Medical Council Board of their respective nation. Registration can be permanent or temporary.
