Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) of Bangladesh has invited applications from foreign students for MBBS Courses for the session 2021-2022.

All the instructions are given below. Look at them carefully:-

1.  Nepalese students fulfilling the following required criteria are enable to apply.

Educational qualification – Must have passed Secondary School Certificate ‘(SSC) and its equivalent examinations in 2018/ 2019 and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) or its equivalent examinations in 2020/ 21 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The students must have a total minimum GPA of 9.00 of SSC and HSC or its equivalent examinations and minimum of 3.50 grade points in Biology in HSC or its equivalent examinations. Equivalence certificate is to be obtained from the Office of Director Medical Education and Health Manpower Development, Director General of Health Services, Mohakhali, Dhaka-1212 and to be submitted to AFMC office before admission.

Marital Status – Unmarried

Age Limit – Maximum 22 years (on 01 July 2021)

Physically fit, certified by the medical board.

2. Candidates have to submit a hard copy of the filled-in application form (Annexure ‘A’) which is also available on the website of the College (www.afmc.gov.bd).

3. Candidates have to submit duly filled-in application forms along with the following documents at this Embassy by 03 April 2022:

a. Photocopy of passport (a copy with each set)

b. Recent passport size photograph (a copy with each set).

c. All academic documents must be duly attested by the competent authority (a copy with each set), i.e. Education Board, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal and the Embassy of Bangladesh. Please note that this Embassy attests to any documents produced in Nepal only after attestation by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal.

d. Original copy of Telegraphic Transfer (T.T) SWIFT CODE of Equivalence Certificate fee. Each applicant must sent USD 70.00 (seventy) as non-refundable Equivalence Certificate fee by Telegraphic Transfer (T.T) / SWIFT Code. Beneficiary “Director, Medical Education and HMPD, DGME, Mohakhali, Dhaka, Bangladesh, A/C No. 0430020002489 with Rupali Bank Ltd., Mohakhali Branch, Dhaka, Bangladesh”. T.T received a copy (Deposit Received Memo) that must be attached with the application form.

e. Student will bring 4 (four) sets of entire documents and submit to the Embassy. The Embassy will keep three sets and return one set to the applicant for future reference.

Notice for MBBS/BDS Admission 2021-22

The Government of Bangladesh is inviting applications from Nepalese students for MBBS/BDS courses for the session 2021-22 in different medical colleges in Bangladesh. Nepalese students fulfilling required criteria, as stipulated in the enclosed circular are eligible to apply.

PLEASE NOTE: 

Applications (click here) must be submitted online by 03 April 2022.

Hardcopies of the documents including submitted form, photo, certificates, bank draft, etc. must be submitted to the Bangladesh Embassy by 04 April 2022 on weekdays (Sunday to Thursday) between 1000 to 1700 hrs.

Embassy will be closed on 7 March, 17 March and 27 March.

Application forms are available at the websites of Bangladesh Embassy in Kathmandu (kathmandu.mofa.gov.bd) and Bangladesh Directorate General of Medical Education (www.dgme.gov.bd).

TO COMPLETE THE APPLICATION FORM:

Applicants need to register from their own email addresses and create an ID for access into the website.

bank draft of US$ 70 (seventy) needs to be submitted along with the application.

Images of passport size photograph, all certificates and signature need to be kept handy before filling up the application.

After filling up the forms with all the required information, a print of the form should be kept for future reference.

Applicants will bring four sets of entire document and submit to the Embassy. The Embassy will keep 3 sets and return one set to the applicant for future reference.

Please remember your ID and Password. A passport number can only be used once for creating an account

PLEASE ALSO NOTE:

The Embassy strongly advises the students to fill up the forms by themselves without taking the help from any third party. 

The students should take decisions in consultation with their guardians after ascertaining full details about tuition fees, other expenses and facilities provided by the respective educational institutions in Bangladesh. 

The Government of Bangladesh will select the candidates on the basis of merit.
