The candidate must be at least seventeen years old.

They must have finished their 10+2 or Intermediate of Science (I.Sc) with major courses in English, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry, with a minimum of 50% in the average aggregate derived using these major subjects.

Have a bachelor’s degree (B.Sc) in one of the following science fields from a recognised university and have studied one other science topic until auxiliary level, with a minimum aggregate of 50%, and meet the aforementioned criterion and aggregate requirements of the 10+2 standard.

Residents of Nepal must take the KUMET/KUSMS exam, which determines merit for admission to this college, followed by an interview at the Universal College of Medical Sciences, which is self-funded. Non-resident Nepali and international students must submit their applications to the college for review and acceptance of their admission to the Universal College of Medical Sciences. Such documents will need to be approved by the student’s home country’s Ministry of External Affairs as well as the Nepalese Embassy.
