Tikapur Hospital in Kailali purchased seven ventilators before the second wave of Covid-19 began in Nepal. However, because there were only a few health workers and doctors available to run the ventilators and offer critical care, many of the infected patients who arrived at the hospital died. As of May 2021, 46 people had died as a result of the sickness in hospitals.
