MECEE PG (Medical Education Common Entrance Exam for Post Graduate Programs) is the National level PG entrance exam in Nepal. MECEE PG exam mode is an Online mode conducted by Nepal Medical Education Board. MECEE PG entrance exam is conducted for admission to MECEE PG participating institutes across Nepal.

DM/ MCh program in Nepal was started by Kathmandu University in 1999 in Bir Hospital. After establishment of National Academy of Medical Sciences, DM/MCh program was taken over by NAMS in 2004 starting with MCh programs. Similarly, Institute of Medicine started DM/ MCh program 2008 (Starting with MCh Programs) and BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in 2013. As per National Medical Education Act 2075
The FMGE-Screening Test has been introduced through Screening Test Regulations 2002. As per the regulations, “An Indian citizen/Overseas citizen of India possessing a primary medical qualification awarded by any medical institution outside India who is desirous of getting provisional or permanent registration with Medical Council of India .
The Government of India established the National Board of Examinations (NBE) in 1975 with the objective of improving the quality of the Medical Education by establishing high and uniform standards of postgraduate examinations in modern medicine on an All India Basis and utilizing existing healthcare infrastructure for capacity building.
NEET-PG is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination for admission to various MD/MS and PG Diploma Courses as per Section 61(2) of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019 read with 10 (D) of Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.No other entrance examination, either at the state or the Institution level, shall be valid for entry to MD/MS/PG Diploma courses.
National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET 2023) will be organised by National Board Of Examination (NBE). NEET 2023 is the national level entrance exam will be conducted on 3rd May 2023.
