  • The government has finalised a working procedure for conducting the Secondary Education Examinations (SEE) through internal evaluation this year owing to the difficulties created by the risk of coronavirus infection.

As per the new rule, the National Examinations Board will publish the results by the end of July, its chairperson Chandra Mani Paudel informs Rastriya Samachar Samiti.

Further, the set procedure has it that the schools will submit scores achieved by each of their 10th-grade students in each subject to the concerned district’s Education Coordination Unit by July 4 whereas the units will verify the details and submit them to the board by July 15.

Paudel says subject teachers of the schools will be held responsible for the evaluation. Likewise, each school will establish a five-member team led by the principal, and consisting of a senior teacher, and subject teachers of English, mathematics and science to finalise the evaluation at the school level.

The new rule also has a provision that the subject teachers will have to explain reasons if the scores given by them sound higher than deserving.
