Kathmandu, July 19: Last Monday, the Medical Education Commission, which had allotted seats to colleges for studying various subjects at the undergraduate level in the field of medical education, has put forward a proposal to conduct integrated entrance examination from July 10. The commission has sought permission from the Covid 19 Crisis Management Center (CCMC) to conduct the examination on that date. Commission spokesperson Dilliram Luitel said that there was some delay in the admission process at the undergraduate level as the second wave of COVID 19 was on the rise. "We have planned to conduct entrance exams in various subjects from July 26 to five days. We have sought permission from CCMC for that. The final decision will be taken only after what the CCMC says, 'he said. Lately, the commission has been recommending the students who have taken the integrated entrance test and the selected students to choose different colleges on the basis of their marks. This time, 32,800 people have filled the forms for the entrance examination in various subjects at the undergraduate level. The highest number of 11,300 people have filled the form in MBBS. Spokesperson Luitel said that as they have to issue the information 15 days before the examination, the CCMC will provide the information on July 25.The commission has proposed to set up a center in Kathmandu.
